TOP 5: Most Romantic Spots on Campus

Want to take that special someone somewhere romantic on campus? Here’s a Top 5 list of the most romantic spots at Cal Poly Pomona.

5.) University Plaza

Bring a picnic basket, spread out a blanket and enjoy the calm nature that one of the most historic buildings on campus can offer you and your partner. Take in the relaxing sounds of the fountain that sits in the middle of this secluded courtyard.

4.) The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch

Next to Kellogg West, this restaurant sits at one of the highest points of CPP. It overlooks the campus and is surrounded by beautiful hills and a one-acre garden. Guests can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner from a menu that often features fruits, vegetables and herbs from the restaurant’s culinary garden.

 3.) Kellogg House

This spacious, ranch-style estate was built in 1926 and belonged to W.K. Kellogg, but it offers a timeless appeal. Nestled among the lush landscape and blanketed in walnut trees, this location exudes historical charm and mesmerizing views. It’s no wonder that Kellogg House is a popular spot for weddings.

2.) The Rose Garden

There is nothing more romantic than being surrounded by hundreds of lush roses of various colors. Stroll about the garden as you take in the beautiful scenery around you. You can also enjoy a spot in the large gazebo that rests in the center of this breathtaking spectacle.

1.) The Aratani Japanese Garden

The top spot on our list belongs to none other than this exquisite locale. While it rests in the middle of campus, entering the realm of this tranquil and exotic spot will make you feel like you’ve left the campus all together. The sound of rushing water flows through this garden where a path takes you over two bridges and through bonsai pine, sasa bamboo and stone sculptures.
